Regional Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change

With No. 1256 / 12.04.2019 document,the South Aegean Regional Governor announces the launch of a consultation on the Regional Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change in the South Aegean.In the framework of the implementation of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and the relevant regulatory obligations (Article 43 of Laws 4414/2016 and MA 11258 / 6-3-2017 - Government Gazette 873 / B / 2017), our Service with the no. Protocol 1882 / 6-7-2017 Decision, commissioned ENVIROMETRICS - Technical Consultants Ltd with the action "Drafting South Aegean's Regional Plan for the Adaptation to Climate Change" (RPACC),which is currently at an advanced stage of development. Under the current legislation, both in the preparation of the Regional Plan, both in its implementation / implementation,provision is made so as to: (a) ensure maximum participation and the consensus of all the social partners public administration, scientific community, productive classes, active citizens, etc.)and (b) take account of the assessment of the social partners on the effects of climate change on their activities.In the context of the above procedure, we inform you that the following two consultation questionnaires have been prepared and posted on the internet and their completing and sending will be done directly online:

• Consultation questionnaire for all interested parties, targeting any citizen, club, NGO, initiative, etc., is interested in the issues of climate change in our Region and how to deal with it (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XYPGHMF), and

• Management Consultation Questionnaire, which is addressed to all service providers which are directly or indirectly involved with the issues of mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change

In addition to this consultation process through questionnaires, is expected to follow a direct open awareness-raising and consultation conference, as well as convening the Regional Advisory Committee.
