In the framework of the European Union program "Horizon 2020 for research and innovation" European City Facility (EUCF) initiative was created to support municipalities and local authorities in Europe in developing investment ideas to accelerate sustainable investment.
The aim of the initiative is to strengthen the local staff and support the local authorities with personalized, fast and simplified financial support.
(in the form of a lump sum of 60,000 euros) and related services that allow the municipalities of Europe to develop a business and financial plan and facilitate the mobilization of local investment in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
Investments are not directly funded by the grant but (technical) feasibility studies, legal, economic and financial analysis, market and risk analysis, as well as coordination and organization activities.
